The big one

The biggest tour to date came yesterday it was a big third grade class, 66 kids!!

We divided them up into stations so that different groups could come and learn about different aspects of farming/dairy. We even pulled out the antique milk separator.  It is a machine that when you put milk into the bowl it will separate the cream from the milk. Dan’s grandpa used it way back in the day but it still worked perfectly.  The kids thought that was cool to see how you made skim milk.
Dan’s dad told a little bit of history about the barn and the farm and how it has been in our family for 3 generations.Of course we had to have chocolate chip cookies to go with our milk! I went out when the milk man did 4AM to make these so that they would all have fresh ones 139 of them to be exact!!!!I was so thankful for some extra help, my friend Denae came to help pass out cookies, play with baby, clean up and help Grandpa with getting things ready! Thanks girl I was so grateful for your help!!!Just a few of the kids that came! We had a great time and I heard from one of the teachers (which happens to be Dan’s sister) that they had a blast!!
